DroneShield has secured a $9.7 million deal to deliver handheld and mobile anti-drone solutions to a Latin American defence customer. The deal, comprising of three standalone contracts, will be delivered during the third and fourth quarters of 2025.
The company has confirmed that a privately owned local reseller, contractually obliged to distribute the systems to an undisclosed defence end user, is handling the fulfilment of the contracts. DroneShield added that all deliveries and payments are on track for completion in the second half of the year, with no remaining conditions to be met.
This represents the third round of orders from the same reseller. In December 2024 و January 2025, the reseller completed two previous contracts with DroneShield, with a combined value of approximately $10.8 million. According to the company, all prior deliveries and payments were made on schedule.
أوليغ فورنيك, CEO of DroneShield, commented , “In 2025, DroneShield has successfully delivered products, capability, and training into the Latin American market”. He continued, “With a substantial pipeline, diversified over multiple countries and customers, DroneShield is anticipating further developments in 2025 in this region.”
Included in the new deal are handheld and vehicle-based solutions capable of detecting, identifying, and neutralising drone threats. With the growing use of commercial drones and small UAVs in conflict zones, these technologies are becoming essential for modern defence operations.
While DroneShield has not specified the exact systems included in this contract, their portfolio typically features the DroneGun series of handheld jammers and modular sensor platforms suitable for both mobile and fixed deployments. These technologies are designed for tactical operations in urban, border, and high-threat environments.
Latin America is emerging as a growth hub for counter-drone capabilities, driven by the efforts of regional militaries to enhance airspace security. DroneShield’s deepening presence in the region highlights continued interest in non-kinetic methods of drone defence.
