شركة ACS تجمع $200 مليون دولار أمريكي لتوسيع إنتاج الطائرات بدون طيار

Allen Control Systems (ACS) has raised $200 million in fresh funding as demand grows for systems designed to counter the expanding threat posed by military drones.

The Texas-based defense technology company announced a Series B funding round that values the firm at $2.2 billion. The capital will be used to increase manufacturing capacity, accelerate deployment of its Bullfrog autonomous weapon station and support the development of additional products.

Bullfrog is designed to counter UAS threats using artificial intelligence, computer vision and precision robotics. The system can be paired with existing weapons such as the M240 machine gun and is intended to engage drones up to Group 3 classification.

According to the company, Bullfrog is already deployed with the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy and has received contracts through the Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF-401) as well as from allied military customers.

ACS also stated that the platform achieved a 100 percent success rate during the U.S. Department of Defense’s Technology Readiness Experiment 2026 counter-drone testing event.

The Series B round was led by Smash Capital and included participation from existing investors Craft Ventures, Rally Ventures, Inspired Capital, Litquidity and Forum Ventures.

Investment reflects growing focus on counter-drone technologies

Founder of Smash Capital Kevin Mayer said the investment reflected the need to address emerging threats posed by commercially available drones.

“Domestic critical infrastructure remains vulnerable to the threat posed by commercially available drones,” said Mayer. “ACS has built an efficient, adaptable solution that’s perfectly tailored to meet this pressing national security challenge.”

The latest funding round comes amid increased investor interest in defense technology companies focused on autonomous systems and counter-UAS capabilities.

In June, Sweden’s Front Ventures AB invested €1.5 million ($1.7 million) in Polish-Ukrainian radar developer Molfar Defence Technologies to support the development of systems designed to detect small drones and other low-altitude threats.

Earlier in May, Australian company Arkeus secured A$25 million ($18 million) in Series A funding to scale its AI-enabled perception technology for autonomous defense platforms.

Counter-drone market continues to attract capital

The investment in ACS highlights continued momentum in the defense technology sector, where companies developing autonomous weapons, sensors and counter-drone systems have attracted significant capital amid growing concerns over the proliferation of low-cost unmanned aircraft.

The company’s focus on integrating artificial intelligence and existing weapon systems reflects a broader industry trend toward fielding lower-cost solutions capable of addressing the increasing volume and sophistication of aerial threats.
