Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Okinawa, Japan — Anduril successfully integrated legacy multi-domain sensors into its Lattice operating system during exercise Northern Edge 23-2, providing Marines with advanced, real-time battlespace awareness and multi-domain command and control of effects across the Indo-Pacific. As part of the Corps’ Force Design 2030 transformation, the integration work helped the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory and the Department of Defense understand how new technologies can interconnect with legacy systems and help warfighters make faster and better decisions for distributed command and control.

At Northern Edge, Anduril built a resilient data mesh network comprised of four geographically distributed C2 nodes, each deployed to diverse infrastructures, which demonstrates Lattice’s flexibility to support varying operating environments and available infrastructure. This resilient mesh network shared live operational data seamlessly and provided a consistent battlefield picture for commanders without any communication gaps typically seen by operators. Anduril’s mesh network securely organizes intelligence data and distributes it geographically and across classification boundaries, and is optimized for Denied, Degraded, Intermittent and Latent (DDIL) environments.

The Anduril team created the data integration network within a few hours, demonstrating the speed at which resilient command and control for short-notice operations can be deployed anywhere in the world. Such a resilient communications network can provide Marines with a new capability to conduct distributed command and control of assets globally and more rapidly as part of their Crisis Response mission requirements.

This effort demonstrated the value of a data integration layer for the Marine Corps and beyond, enabling the sharing of mission critical data across a distributed mesh network of nodes from Okinawa to California, and ultimately providing a clear common operating picture for Marines in contested environments.

Anduril is a proven leader in developing and fielding integrated autonomous solutions across a wide variety of sensors, effectors and assets across domains. (Press Release)
