DroneShield LTD announced that its DroneGun Tactical C-UAS system was utilized during Brazil’s presidential inauguration ceremony. The ceremony for president-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was held at the Planalto Palace, the Official Headquarter of Executive Government.

Lule da Silva (77 years of age) will be taking the Presidential Office for a third time, as he served previously from 2003-2010

DroneGun Tactical was used by Presidential Security to mitigate four “suspicious” (DroneShield) drones navigating toward the President at the event.

DroneShield entered the Brazil market in mid 2021 after it received approval from Anatel, the Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency in charge of issuing concessions of new radio frequencies. Post approval, DroneShield has sold a number of its DroneGun Tactical units to the Brazilian Government.

Oleg Vornik, CEO of DroneShield says, “Brazil is a key South American market for DroneShield, and we are pleased to see the deployment of our systems in the country at the highest level, which is expected to flow down to further systems being utilized in Brazil, as counter-UAS requirements continue to rapidly grow.”
