Science Applications International Corp (SAIC) has been awarded a prime position to continue services through FAA Systems Engineering and Technical Innovative Solutions indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. 

SAIC is a Fortune 500 technology integrator headquartered in Reston, Virginia. Their robust portfolio includes support across the defense, space, civilian, and intelligence markets. The company provides secure high-end solutions in engineering, digital, artificial intelligence, and mission solutions.

“SAIC supports the FAA’s mission to provide the safest and most efficient airspace through continuous improvements to communications, navigation and surveillance systems,” says Bob Genter, President, Defense & Civilian Sector at SAIC. “Our focus is on delivering advanced solutions in systems engineering, research, management, development and analysis that enable to FAA’s aviation programs,” Genter continues. 

SAIC is one of 15 organizations in a prime position on the $2.3 billion shared-ceiling, multi-award IDIQ contract. There is a base performance period of 36 months, followed up by a three-year option and two two-year option periods. SAIC’s work will primarily occur in the metropolitan Washington D.C. area and at the FAA Technical Center in New Jersey. 

SAIC has supported the FAA since 2010 with a broad range of services that includes research, service analysis, strategic planning, program support, and systems engineering. They have worked on projects such as air traffic control, navigation and surveillance, and modeling and simulation. SAIC has also supported advanced air mobility and unmanned aerial systems. The company also provides services to support joint research programs, such as the FAA and NASA UAS Traffic Management (UTM) program.
