The United States announced two new security assistance packages to help Ukraine defend itself against Russia’s invasion. Critical air defense and counter-drone capabilities are included in these packages. The aid will assist Ukraine in defending its people, and includes armored infantry vehicles, Javelin anti-tank missiles, artillery ammunition, and conventional and long-range rockets for U.S.-provided HIMARS.

Following a delegation of authority from the President, the 31st drawdown of U.S. arms and equipment for Ukraine since August 2021, valued at $425 million, has been authorized. Additionally, the U.S. Department of Defense will commit another $1.75 billion in support for Ukraine under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiatives to help advance Ukraine’s military.

The United States continues to rally the world to support Ukraine. There has been incredible solidarity from our allies and partners. Over 50 countries have united in solidarity with Ukraine as it defends its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
