The UK Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Strategy outlines the government’s strategy to mitigate the threat of the careless and clueless use of drones, as well as the nefarious use of drones, including threats to the national security and critical infrastructure of the United Kingdom.

The purpose of this strategy document is to:

  • Develop an extensive understanding of the risks posed by the illegal and nefarious use of drones; use a comprehensive approach to detect and mitigate the misuse of drones
  • Establish relationships and security standards with industry
  • Empower police and operational responders with effective legislation, training, and capabilities to counter the drone threat
