Terma-Odd-Systes

Das ukrainische Unternehmen Odd Systems arbeitet mit der dänischen Terma Group an einem KI-gesteuerten Drohnenabfangsystem

Ukrainian defense technology company Odd Systems and Danish defense prime Terma Group haben angekündigt a strategic partnership to co-develop a low-cost, AI-powered drone interceptor.

Terma, Denmark’s largest defense contractor, is recognized for its integration expertise and sensor technologies. Odd Systems contributes its operational knowledge from working with the Ukrainian Defense Forces and its focus on scalable platforms designed to address emerging drone threats.

As unmanned aerial systems become more prevalent in military operations, the need for effective countermeasures continues to grow. The challenge involves detecting, tracking, and intercepting incoming UAVs using autonomous systems. The collaboration aims to address a range of drone types, including FPVs and tactical ISR copters (e.g., Mavic), fixed-wing ISR platforms (e.g., Zala), and long-range strike drones (e.g., Shahed).

The two companies plan to integrate their existing technologies and co-develop a suite of products designed to neutralize these threats.

“It is our pleasure to work with Terma, a team so professional and so dedicated to making the sky above Europe safe from any intruding drones,” said Yaroslav Azhnyuk, co-founder of Odd Systems.

“We look forward to developing a robust autonomous interceptor platform. Such cooperation between the teams from Ukraine and the EU are crucial for the future of European security.”

Filip Rensch-Jacobsen, Vice President at Terma Group, added: “We are proud to partner with Odd Systems, whose innovation and battlefield-proven platforms are a testament to the strength of Ukrainian engineering. They have demonstrated extraordinary capabilities under extreme conditions and at a pace and cost unmatched by Western manufacturers.”

“Together, we can integrate best-in-class technology with agile, combat-adapted drone platforms to accelerate the evolution of future air combat capabilities. Collaborating with them is the smartest and most effective way forward,” he added.

Odd Systems currently manufactures and supplies several FPV platforms, including the Horska-12 aerial interceptor and the Stus-7 and Lupynis-10 strike drones, available in both UAV and UAS configurations for day and night operations. The company also produces the Kurbas-256 and Kurbas-640 thermal cameras, which are developed locally in Ukraine and are positioned as leading options for defensive FPV applications.

The partnership between Terma and Odd Systems underscores a broader effort to strengthen regional resilience and autonomy by fostering collaboration between defense industries in Ukraine, Denmark, and across Europe.
