SkyGrid and High Lander have signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the 2025 Dubai Airshow to explore the development of an airspace management ecosystem designed to support the integration of crewed and uncrewed aircraft. The agreement brings together SkyGrid, an Advanced Air Mobility third-party service provider, and High Lander, a company focused on UAS traffic management and drone fleet management technologies.

The two organizations plan to evaluate operational environments that support Advanced Air Mobility, with work centered on airspace integration, digital operations, vertiport coordination, cybersecurity and regulatory frameworks. According to both companies, the collaboration aims to produce technology roadmaps and regulatory and infrastructure plans to support AAM operations in Abu Dhabi and other regions.

SkyGrid CEO Jia Xu described the agreement as an important step toward establishing the digital foundations for emerging airspace operations in the Middle East:

“Together with High Lander, we’re bringing the world closer to a unified vision of safe, scalable, and sustainable airspace integration,” Xu said.

He added that combining SkyGrid’s autonomous flight services with High Lander’s UTM systems would support Abu Dhabi’s efforts to position itself as a leader in next-generation aviation.

High Lander CEO Alon Abelson said the partnership reflects the companies’ intent to create an environment where different types of aircraft can operate safely in the same airspace:

“Our shared goal is to create a harmonized operational environment where uncrewed and crewed aircraft can coexist safely and efficiently,” he said.
