AARONIA showcased its advanced counter-UAV system at Eurosatory 2024 in Paris this week. The war in Ukraine has rapidly accelerated the development of drones for espionage and combat. Increasingly, FPV drones, often deployed in small swarms, are utilized. These drones are typically programmed to avoid the usual frequencies, rendering them invisible to most detection systems and impervious to most jammers.
AARONIA AG’s AARTOS DDS system offers seamless ultra-wideband monitoring in real-time, enabling the reliable detection of nearly all radio signal-operating drones. AARONIA provides four different versions of this system, each modularly adaptable to specific user requirements. Options range from the compact, mobile laptop version X2 for field use to the stationary high-end X9 solution for particularly demanding military applications.
The programmable AARTOS 360° Smart Jammer can be deployed for drone defense, among other tools. This jammer has an extensive range of up to 10 kilometers and allows complete customization and programmability of any frequency range between 400MHz and 6GHz in real time via drag-and-drop.
Beyond drone detection and defense, the AARTOS system can be utilized in electronic warfare. Its unique real-time all-frequency monitoring can detect various signals, from BOS radios to radar pulses to radio-controlled systems (air and ground). The programmable AARTOS 360° Smart Jammer can also disrupt these systems.
AARONIA offers the SPECTRAN V6 MIL, a real-time spectrum analyzer integrated into a powerful and extremely shock-resistant outdoor laptop for these scenarios. It captures and displays signal transmissions in various ways, enabling their analysis and the initiation of necessary countermeasures if required.
