AimLock has announced a partnership with Overland AI to integrate its autonomous targeting and engagement systems onto Overland’s ULTRA ground vehicle platform, combining artificial intelligence and kinetic effects in one system. The collaboration aims to provide adaptable, human-in-the-loop solutions for missions including counter-UAS, force protection and direct action.
The integration brings AimLock’s Core Targeting Modules, known as Keystone, into Overland AI’s ULTRA, an autonomous, modular ground vehicle designed to operate in contested environments and GPS-denied zones. The resulting system can be configured for multiple missions and fitted with AimLock’s various kinetic systems, including the Spur, Rampart, Summit, Switchback and ROLS, depending on operational needs.
Both companies describe the integration as a response to the growing demand for autonomous systems that can perform independently while still allowing human oversight.
For counter-drone operations, the combination of ULTRA’s mobility and AimLock’s precision targeting is designed to allow rapid engagement of small aerial threats in complex terrain, extending existing counter-UAS capabilities beyond stationary or vehicle-mounted systems.
The partnership aims to integrate autonomous ground and aerial platforms to provide scalable, networked responses to evolving threats, particularly low-cost drones.
