AirMatrix and Robin Radar introduce integrated C-UAS stack for streamlined drone defense

AirMatrix and Robin Radar Systems have announced a joint solution designed to enhance C-UAS operations. The integrated platform aims to support security teams by connecting drone detection with responsive countermeasures in a unified workflow.

AirMatrix develops AI-powered command platforms that combine data from multiple sensors to support decision-making in defense, homeland security, and critical infrastructure contexts.

“Our IRIS drone radar delivers long-range, 3D tracking via micro-Doppler and deep-learning algorithms,” the companies stated. “Libra, AirMatrix’s AI command layer, ingests that radar feed alongside RF, visual EO/IR, acoustic, and remote ID data, automatically classifying objects, predicting flight paths, and triggering tailored responses within seconds.”

The system is designed to reduce false positives and shorten decision-making cycles, enabling small teams to manage complex airspace environments efficiently.

Key features of the integration include:

  • Sensor fusion with AI validation to reduce noise and highlight credible threats.
  • Unified interface for tracking, verification, and countermeasure deployment.
  • Modular architecture compatible with existing VMS, PSIM, and defense networks.
  • Support for evolving threats, including nano-drones and drone swarms.

“Very few ecosystems let operators act on those detections in real time. By pairing IRIS’s precision with Libra’s autonomous decision engine, we’re giving security teams clarity, speed, and confidence straight out of the box,” said Ayaan Haider, Co-Founder & CTO of AirMatrix.

The partnership reflects a shared goal of advancing CUAS operations through automation. By combining detection capabilities with autonomous command systems, AirMatrix and Robin Radar aim to offer a scalable and responsive approach to airspace security.
