Earlier this month, Airservices Australia unveiled its inaugural comprehensive report detailing Australian aviation sector trends for FY 2023.
Crafted to foster dialogue among industry stakeholders, the Australian Aviation Network Overview: Financial year 2023 presents a quick glance at the sector’s vital social and economic trends, along with regional context and the Australian aviation network’s performance.
Taking cues from global counterparts like Eurocontrol’s European Aviation Overview, the Australian Aviation Network Overview will be updated monthly.
The report noted a rise in identified drone activities within no-fly zones near Australian airports. This underscores the significance of persistently cultivating comprehensive capabilities to bolster network resilience and ensure the safety of customers and communities.
The Civil Aviation Authority reported a 187% increase in remote pilot licenses since FY 2018, and an average daily drone flight increase of 16.3% in FY 2023 vs FY 2022.
