Axon Vision demonstrates integrated counter-drone detection system

Axon Vision has completed the integration of its EDGE ClearSky drone detection system with RETIA’s radar and the TSG command-and-control platform, demonstrating a multi-sensor counter-drone capability during testing in the Czech Republic.

The demonstration combined radar, electro-optical sensing and command-and-control into a single operating picture designed to improve the detection, tracking and identification of unmanned aerial threats.

According to the company, the integration was carried out under open-field conditions intended to simulate operational environments. The system was evaluated against representative drone scenarios, including target detection, tracking and dynamic flight movements.

EDGE ClearSky uses thermal sensing and artificial intelligence-based image processing to detect and identify aerial threats. During the demonstration, the platform was integrated with RETIA’s radar, while the TSG command-and-control system fused data from both sensors to present operators with a unified view of detected targets.

Axon Vision said the exercise demonstrated that the systems could exchange information in real time and display drone tracks through a common command-and-control interface.

The company said the demonstration highlights its ability to integrate its visual intelligence software with third-party sensors and command-and-control platforms, reflecting growing demand for interoperable counter-UAS architectures that combine data from multiple sources.

The demonstration builds on cooperation between Axon Vision, RETIA and TSG to develop layered counter-drone capabilities that combine multiple sensors with a common command-and-control framework. The companies said the effort supports the continued development of integrated solutions for defense and security applications as operators seek improved situational awareness against evolving drone threats.
