Digital Force Technologies chooses Echodyne Radar for Seraphim counter-UAS family of systems

Echodyne announced yesterday that Digital Force Technologies (DFT) has selected its radar systems as the core technology for the Seraphim Counter-UAS family of solutions. DFT combines deep defence expertise with advanced technology to deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of modern forces, from initial concept through to battlefield deployment.

The Seraphim C-UAS range offers modular, scalable autonomous systems designed for detecting, assessing, tracking, deterring, and neutralising UAS threats. These solutions cover everything from expeditionary deployments to fixed-site protection, maintaining flexibility and rapid deployment capabilities.

DFT was chosen under the TERAPIN project to provide an ultra-endurance autonomous mobile sensor and effector platform featuring robust edge processing for expeditionary forces operating in remote, challenging environments. Echodyne’s radar portfolio, including EchoShield® and EchoGuard®, is now fully integrated, delivering high-fidelity detection, classification, and precision tracking across the Seraphim C-UAS systems.

TERAPIN forms part of a United States Marine Corps initiative to deliver persistent, all-domain sensing and surveillance, tactical early warning, multi-domain intrusion detection, and advanced edge computing with AI/ML-driven computer vision. These capabilities are being deployed by the Fleet Marine Force (FMF) at the Marine Littoral Regiment (MLR) and across Marine units of all sizes, supporting Naval Expeditionary Force (NEF) operations for Sea Denial and Sea Control, as well as force protection for Expeditionary Advanced Bases (EABs), forward sites, and installations.

“Echodyne shares Digital Force Technologies’ commitment to delivering adaptable solutions that advance mission success and enhance warfighter safety, awareness, and capabilities,” said Justin MacLaurin, CEO of Digital Force Technologies. “The demand for autonomous systems that accurately sense their environment, identify threats, and inform and protect the warfighter is evolving quickly, and Seraphim C-UAS is proving that cutting-edge, autonomous solutions are available today.”

Echodyne’s patented MESA architecture enables ultra-low SWaP, high-performance radar systems that provide exceptionally accurate situational awareness. Its solid-state, zero-sustainment design makes MESA radars ideal for missions across maritime, coastal, land, and air domains, while supporting rapid adaptability for fixed, portable, temporary, or on-the-move requirements.

“Echodyne is thrilled to be acknowledged by Digital Force Technologies as having the ideal radars for their Seraphim C-UAS solutions,” said Eben Frankenberg, CEO of Echodyne. “Counter-UAS is critical to every force and mission, and this selection demonstrates again that cutting-edge Defence solutions are turning to Echodyne radar for market-leading accuracy, precision, and reliability.”
