DroneShield announced yesterday that it has expanded the capabilities of its DroneSentry counter-drone platform by integrating technology from Sentrycs. This update introduces advanced cyber takeover features, controlled drone landing, and forensic analysis tools to the existing multi-layered system.
The DroneSentry solution already includes detection technologies from partners such as Echodyne, Bosch, and Teledyne FLIR, as well as directed-energy defeat capabilities from Epirus. These components are managed through the DroneSentry-C2 command-and-control platform, which now benefits from the addition of Sentrycs’ cyber-over-RF capabilities.
Sentrycs specialises in protocol-level detection and mitigation, offering modular systems designed to identify and neutralise unauthorised drones. The integration allows operators to detect drones in real time, locate their controllers, and take control of them safely.
DroneShield described the result as “market-leading fused cyber and RF detection and mitigation functionality.” The DroneSentry-C2 platform has been updated to process cyber-RF (CoRF) data through its SensorFusionAI (SFAI) engine, enhancing analytics and response speed.

Operators using the upgraded system can now rely on a combination of radar, RF, optical, and thermal sensors. This multi-sensor approach improves detection accuracy, reduces false positives, and strengthens situational awareness. The CoRF layer adds further control options, allowing for safer and more flexible responses to drone threats.
Some of the new featured introduced include:
- Autonomous detection and tracking of multiple drones, including identification of model, serial number, altitude, location, and operator.
- Cyber takeover functions that disconnect drones from their controllers, reprogramme their home positions, and guide them to designated landing zones for recovery and analysis.
- Enhanced situational awareness tools, including Identification Friend or Foe (IFF), real-time alerts, and detailed analytics to support decision-making and assist law enforcement.
According to DroneShield, this partnership offers “unmatched situational awareness, layered response, and operator choice in one unified solution.”
