Echodyne said its director of government affairs, Max Rosen, has been appointed to the board of Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International, an industry group representing companies involved in uncrewed systems and robotics.
Rosen will serve on the board through 2027, according to the company. He previously worked in government affairs at AUVSI and has been involved in policy discussions with U.S. lawmakers and federal agencies on the integration of drones and advanced air mobility technologies.
The appointment comes as the commercial drone sector continues to expand, with increasing focus on regulatory frameworks, airspace integration and public safety applications.
Industry representation and policy role
AUVSI is one of the largest nonprofit organizations focused on advancing uncrewed systems, including drones and autonomous technologies. Board members typically help guide the organization’s policy priorities and industry engagement efforts.
Echodyne said Rosen’s role is expected to strengthen its involvement in policy discussions in Washington as the company grows its presence in both commercial and security-related drone markets.
The announcement follows a broader expansion by Echodyne, which has been increasing production capacity for its radar systems used in airspace monitoring and counter-drone applications.
The company recently invested in a new facility in Washington State with the capacity to produce tens of thousands of radar units annually, reflecting rising demand for systems that can support both commercial drone operations and airspace security.
