EOS signs Letter of Intent with Netherlands for Apollo counter-drone laser

Electro Optic Systems (EOS) has signed a letter of intent with the Netherlands Ministry of Defence covering further work on the company’s Apollo High Energy Laser Weapon technology for counter-drone defense.

Derk Boswijk, State Secretary for Defence of the Netherlands, signed the agreement with EOS this week. Under the letter of intent, the Ministry and EOS will explore pathways to develop Apollo into a fully operational weapon system for the Netherlands.

Subject to further work, the Netherlands Ministry of Defence intends to purchase a number of the laser weapon systems.
