Federal Grand Jury Indictment of Dailon Dabney filed in the United States District Court of the Southern District of Ohio, Western Division.
In the indictment, it is alleged that Dabney, a resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, flew a drone, later identified as a DJI Mavic Air 2, during a Cincinnati Bengals playoff game on January 15, 2022.
At the time of the flight, the area in and around Paul Brown Stadium was subject to NOTAM 0/0367. The indictment states that the defendant “…flew the drone into the bowl of the stadium, and at times, hovered over the players and portions of the stadium crowd while the game was being played.”
The defendant recorded his drone flight and posted the video on a YouTube page called, “BrickbyBrickProduction513.”
The two-count indictment charges Dabney with Operation of Unregistered Drone in violation of 49 U.S.C. § 46306(b)(5)(A).; and Violation of a Temporary Flight Restriction in violation of 49 U.S.C. § 46307 and 40103(b).
