Fortem Technologies is a leader in airspace security and defense for detecting and mitigating dangerous drones. In a recent press release, they announced that a new office has opened in the Washington D.C. metro area. It will be located in the advancing technology corridor in Chantilly, Virginia.
D.C. Office Necessary for Strategic Growth
Jon Gruen, CEO of Fortem Technologies, says, “Opening an office in Washington D.C.’s metro area is a necessary move. We’re growing rapidly and much of that growth is coming from the D.C. environment. Having a presence at the nation’s capital will help us better address that business demand,” (Fortem Technologies opens).
In addition to the new office location, Fortem announced that Michael Buscher has been appointed Executive Director of Enterprise Operations out of the new D.C. office. In this role, Buscher will focus on coordinating engagements with U.S Government agencies. He will act as the primary point of contact for partnerships in the national capital region. Buscher has 30+ years of government experience including Army Special Operations and 10 years at the Central Intelligence Agency.
Fortem Adds Executive Talent
Prior to being named Executive Director, Buscher was a member of Fortem’s Government Advisory Board. Before joining Fortem, he had numerous positions including Chief Growth Officer at BigBear.ai and Vice President at Peraton, just to name a few. Fortem stands behind Buscher and is confident that his prior experiences will set him up for success in the new role at Fortem.
Along with Buscher, Matt Quinn, Vice President of Government Solutions, and Warren Brown, Vice President of Marketing, were both appointed to the Fortem executive team. Quinn brings an impressive background to Fortem, as he was a former U.S. Secret Service special agent and senior executive. He was the former Deputy Assistant Director for the Office of Protective Operations. Brown was the former Vice President of Marketing for SAIC and a previous Executive Director of Brand and Marketing for The Boeing Company.
“These gentlemen have extremely impressive backgrounds, each bringing a unique perspective to Fortem. This office opening coupled with our talent expansion marks an exciting step towards taking Fortem Technologies to the next level,” says Gruen.
Fortem announced their support to help protect the FIFA World Cup and their presence in Ukraine to help fight off drone warfare. Within the past year, Fortem Technologies has more than doubled its deal flow and booking projections.
