Counter-drone technology alone will not be enough to protect Europe from evolving aerial threats, according to speakers in panel discussion on European readiness held during the Counter UAS Homeland Security Europe conference.
Participants argued that while significant advances have been made in drone and counter-drone technology, the challenge now is turning those innovations into deployable capability. Several speakers highlighted issues including procurement delays, fragmented regulations, workforce shortages and the difficulty of integrating new systems into existing security structures.
