InLeap Photonics raises $23m to scale counter-drone laser weapons

German counter-drone developer InLeap Photonics has raised $23 million in a Seed funding round as it prepares to scale production and testing of laser-based systems designed to defeat small drones.

The company, which was spun out of Laser Zentrum Hannover, said the funding will support research and development, production, sales and testing. The round follows a $2.3 million pre-Seed investment raised in 2025.

German venture capital firm UVC Partners led the latest round. HTGF, Balnord, Sentris and Scale Capital also participated.
