JIATF-401 awards billions in new counter-UAS contracts

The Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF-401) has announced a major wave of new counter-UAS contracts covering sensors, effectors, command-and-control technology, kinetic defeat systems and training.

10 new indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contracts announced on September 29 have combined ceilings of $4.15 billion. The awards support JIATF-401’s Domestic Shield program, its C-UAS Marketplace and other counter-drone requirements.

The task force has also separately announced a contract for Lockheed Martin’s Grizzly kinetic defeat system and a $38.2 million counter-small UAS training contract with OWT Global.
