Maris-Tech enables airborne threat protection for AFVs with AI system

Maris-Tech Ltd, a developer of video and AI-based edge computing technologies, has introduced Diamond Ultra, a fully integrated hardware-software platform designed to improve situational awareness and airborne threat protection for armored fighting vehicles and other defense applications.

The new system combines a ruggedized processing unit with an embedded AI-powered analytics card, offering a streamlined solution for environments where reliability, speed and ease of deployment are critical. By integrating both hardware and software into a single unit, Diamond Ultra aims to reduce the complexity and compatibility issues often associated with separate system components.

Diamond Ultra supports up to 11 simultaneous camera inputs and utilizes dual AI accelerators capable of approximately 60 trillion operations per second. This processing power enables the platform to analyze multiple video streams in real time, helping crews identify and respond to threats, including those from the air, with minimal delay. The system is designed to address common battlefield challenges such as blind spots and delayed detection, while also supporting 360-degree 3D awareness around the vehicle.

Additional features include LTE and 5G support for remote video streaming and real-time monitoring, making the system suitable for mobile and dispersed operations. Continuous video recording enables after-action reviews and the refinement of AI models, supporting longer-term adaptability to evolving threat environments.

According to Maris-Tech, Diamond Ultra is tailored for rapid integration with existing platforms and minimal maintenance in the field.

“Diamond Ultra is a transformative milestone for Maris-Tech,” said CEO and Founder Israel Bar. “By uniting advanced AI-powered software with ruggedized hardware into one seamless platform, we enable faster deployment and consistent performance in mission-critical environments.”

Diamond Ultra is being positioned as a scalable solution for enhanced protection and awareness in high-intensity defense operations.
