ARES Security and MatrixSpace have announced a new technology partnership, combining the AI-driven collaborative sensing capability of MatrixSpace Radar with ARES Security’s AVERT Mission Planning and Operations (MPO) software. The collaboration aims to enhance detection and response capabilities for autonomous systems, particularly benefiting security and defence operations.

The AVERT MPO software allows mission planning and control for both ground and aerial robotic systems from a single interface within a remote tactical operations centre. The lightweight MatrixSpace Radar, which can be deployed on ground and aerial platforms, enhances the AVERT MPO operational picture by improving the detection of adversaries, vehicles and sUAS.

According to both companies, the partnership provides customers, including branches of the U.S. Department of Defense, with a tactical advantage across a variety of applications. The combined system will be showcased at the DoD’s Thunderstorm 24.4 event in early November, an invitation-only field technology showcase focused on solutions for military operations.

Lori DeMatteis, Chief Revenue Officer at MatrixSpace, commented:

“Battlespaces and secure sites have a myriad of objects they must detect accurately, moving at rapid speeds in all weather conditions, day and night. Building MatrixSpace Radar into the ARES solution takes it to the next level in terms of managing and monitoring these secure locations. Enabling rapid counter UAS initiatives by bringing advanced technological solutions to the DoD is the key focus of our partnership.”

MatrixSpace Radar is designed to provide situational awareness for airborne and ground-based objects in all weather and lighting conditions. It enhances C-UAS capabilities and enables ‘beyond visual line of sight’ operations for uncrewed and autonomous aircraft. The radar’s capabilities are designed to improve general awareness and security in high-risk areas.

ARES Security’s AVERT MPO integrates robotic platforms, sensors and personnel into a common operational picture. The system automates robotic sentries using AI, intelligent pathing and 3D modelling, and can interface with over 450 sensors through an advanced command-and-control platform.

Ben Eazzetta, CEO of ARES Security, highlighted the benefits of the partnership:

“We are impressed by MatrixSpace’s powerful radar that delivers new levels of 4D outdoor surveillance, enhancing detection range, accuracy and adaptability to adverse conditions. Paired with AVERT MPO’s AI-driven control and intelligent pathing, the solution enables precise mission planning, faster threat responses and optimised patrols, creating a more robust security ecosystem for any security force protecting personnel and assets.”
