The UK’s policing lead for counter-drone capability has called on industry to help accelerate the delivery of operationally deployable solutions, arguing that the pace of technological change is increasingly outstripping traditional government processes.
Speaking at the Counter UAS Homeland Security conference in London, Andy Harding, Strategic Manager for Less Lethal Weapons and Counter Drones at the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC), outlined what he described as a fundamentally changed strategic environment and challenged attendees to think about how their organizations can help strengthen the UK’s readiness for future drone-related threats.
