Ondas receives $6M from Middle East customers for Sentrycs C-UAS systems

Ondas Inc. announced it has received approximately $6 million in new orders for its subsidiary Sentrycs’ counter-drone systems from existing defense and homeland security customers in the Middle East and other regions.

The orders cover dozens of systems from Sentrycs cyber-RF counter-UAS product line and come amid increased drone activity across the Middle East, where small unmanned aerial systems are being used in attacks against energy infrastructure, military bases, ports and other strategic locations.

The company said the orders are expected to support deployments tied to defense, homeland security and infrastructure protection programs. The systems may also serve as an initial component of larger counter-UAS architectures that could incorporate additional Ondas technologies.

The Sentrycs system is designed to detect, identify and track drones using radio frequency-based techniques. According to the company, the technology can take control of certain unauthorized drones by manipulating communication protocols rather than relying on traditional jamming methods that may disrupt surrounding signals.

The system can redirect drones away from protected areas or land them in designated zones, and is intended for use in environments such as energy facilities, airports, military installations and border security operations.

“There is strong demand and a growing urgency among governments to find scalable solutions for defending critical infrastructure and strategic assets,” said Eric Brock, chairman and CEO of Ondas. “Our cyber-RF counter-drone technology enables operators to detect, identify and mitigate hostile drones at scale, in multiple locations 24/7, without disrupting surrounding communications. As drone threats continue to escalate globally, Ondas is expanding deployments of our counter-UAS technologies as part of a layered defense architecture designed to protect sensitive environments.”

Oshri Lugassy, co-CEO of Ondas Autonomous Systems, said the orders reflect continued demand from existing customers.

“We are proud to support our customers with our defense technologies,” Lugassy said. “Our goal is to provide operators with the most powerful and reliable counter-drone solutions available, enabling them to protect assets effectively. Our technologies are combat proven, ready for deployment and trusted by our customers as reflected by these orders.”

The company’s portfolio also includes the Iron Drone Raider autonomous interceptor drone, which is designed to intercept hostile drones as part of a layered low-altitude defense approach.

Ondas said it expects continued growth in the global counter-UAS market as governments and security organizations seek technologies to address the expanding use of small drones in both military and civilian environments.
