Ondas Holdings has announced a its latest purchase order for its Iron Drone Raider counter-drone system, placed by a major Israeli defense company. This development follows an initial purchase order for the system back in May, followed by a series of successes throughout 2024.

The Iron Drone Raider, a state-of-the-art counter-uncrewed aircraft system (C-UAS), uses AI-driven technology to intercept and neutralise hostile drones with minimal collateral damage. Originally launched commercially last year, the system has since been enhanced to meet military specifications and is gaining traction among defence and homeland security agencies.

“We are building our presence in the defence sector by introducing the Iron Drone Raider platform to important players in the market with capabilities that are tailored for military deployments,” said Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas. “We believe this system offers best-in-class specifications and will help protect borders and critical infrastructure in countries worldwide.”

During the third quarter of 2024, Ondas Autonomous Systems (OAS), the company’s drone solutions arm, secured multiple defence-related orders, including $9 million from a government military customer. The Iron Drone Raider is being deployed as part of a multi-layered homeland security infrastructure designed to safeguard critical locations, assets and populations from emerging drone threats.

Ondas anticipates additional orders in the next year as it continues to strengthen its partnerships and expand its distribution network, particularly in defence and public safety sectors.
