Pierce Aerospace, a company specializing in drone remote identification technologies, has been awarded a U.S. Navy SeaPort Next Generation (NxG) Prime Contract. The company announced the contract alongside Allen Control Systems, Glassboard, HEKA and InterSpatial Analytics.
SeaPort NxG is a multiple-award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract used by various U.S. Navy commands, the Military Sealift Command and the U.S. Marine Corps to procure professional support services. The contract has a total value of $50 billion, covering an initial five-year period with an additional five-year option.
Aaron Pierce, CEO of Pierce Aerospace, stated that the contract provides an opportunity for the company and its partners to offer capabilities in areas such as UAS, counter-UAS, autonomy, systems engineering, research and development, and geospatial sciences.
Gary Bullock, the company’s Chief Technology Officer, highlighted the importance of SeaPort NxG as a streamlined contract vehicle for acquiring technical and professional services, supporting the Navy and Marine Corps in addressing evolving mission requirements.
Representatives from the partner companies also commented on their involvement. Steven Simoni, CEO of Allen Control Systems, emphasized the importance of counter-UAS and robotic weapon systems in supporting the military. Grant Chapman, CEO of Glassboard, noted the company’s transition into the defense sector through its work in product development. Fahed Alhaj Mohamad, CEO of InterSpatial Analytics, discussed the role of geospatial technology in enhancing military decision-making.
Pierce Aerospace, which is known for its work in drone Remote Identification, views this contract as an opportunity to expand its offerings while continuing to develop its core technologies.
