Much of the discussion at the Counter‑UAS Technology Europe 2026 conference naturally focused on the tech (sensors, effectors and emerging technologies). However, across presentations and Q&A segments, procurement repeatedly surfaced as a practical constraint on counter‑UAS capability, particularly when discussions moved beyond individual systems to questions of scale, sustainability and integration.
Rather than being treated as a purely administrative issue, procurement was raised in operational terms with regard to how quickly systems can be acquired, how easily they can be adapted and whether they can be kept effective over time.
