Sentrycs and Xtend partner to advance counter-drone capabilities

Counter-drone specialist Sentrycs and autonomous systems developer Xtend have announced a strategic partnership to enhance drone threat mitigation and improve operational efficiency for defense and security customers.

The agreement will integrate Sentrycs’ protocol manipulation-based counter-drone technology – commonly referred to as Cyber over RF – with Xtend’s AI-driven autonomous platforms and its proprietary operating system, XOS.

The collaboration is intended to provide a comprehensive solution for detecting, tracking, identifying and neutralizing unauthorized drones, while enabling greater precision in remote mission execution.

Sentrycs is known for its focus on exploiting communication protocols to intercept and mitigate drone activity, a technique increasingly seen as a complement to traditional kinetic and RF jamming counter-UAS tools. Xtend, meanwhile, develops human-guided autonomous systems used by defense forces to safely manage complex and often dangerous operations.

“Our collaboration with Xtend represents a unique approach in advancing drone security solutions,” said Meir Avidan, VP Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Sentrycs. “By combining our expertise in counter-drone technology with Xtend’s innovative robotics, we are able to offer a comprehensive solution that addresses the evolving needs of our defense and special forces customers, ensuring their safety and operational efficiency.”

“Our mission at Xtend has always been to empower operators with the best tools to manage complex missions safely and efficiently,” said Aviv Shapira, CEO of Xtend. “Partnering with Sentrycs allows us to extend our capabilities in drone security, providing our defense and security customers with a more comprehensive and integrated solution.”

While the the partnership is described as a step forward in addressing the growing threat posed by unauthorized drones in defense environments, no technical specifications or deployment timelines were disclosed. The announcement emphasizes the goal of delivering a more integrated and responsive counter-UAS capability tailored to the evolving needs of military and special operations users.
