Sentrycs secures multi-million dollar counter-drone contract in Latin America

This week, Sentrycs secured a multi-million-dollar contract in Latin America for a national defense project. This milestone marks the largest installation of counter-UAS systems in the region, reinforcing Sentrycs’ technological expertise in combating the growing threat of drones in high-risk environments.

A key focus of the first phase of the contract will be countering narcotics trafficking and criminal activity. To enhance airspace security, multiple advanced C-UAS systems will be deployed across critical areas, including military bases, special operations forces, VIP convoys, and national borders.

Jason Moore, Sentrycs’ Chief Revenue Officer commented, “Recent events in Latin America, including heightened defence challenges and increased unauthorized drone use in criminal activities, underscore the pressing need for advanced airspace security”. He continued, “this milestone contract is a testament to Sentrycs’ ability to deliver unmatched solutions for today’s most pressing drone security challenges. We are proud to play a pivotal role in enhancing national security for this region and look forward to supporting this air defence strategy with our innovative technologies.”

Sentrycs was selected after rigorous trials and operational tests. The company’s C-UAS system outperformed a dozen of competitors, largely due to its ability to operate stealthily, remaining undetectable to third parties during use. Other considerations included strong support from a dedicated local partner and a successful reference from an existing in-country customer who has relied on the Sentrycs platform for several years.

The project will deploy a multi-layered defence strategy, integrating fixed, portable, and vehicle-mounted systems to ensure maximum operational flexibility. Designed for discreet, low-profile protection, Sentrycs’ vehicle-mounted kits are ideal for mobile operations, including VIP convoy security and special forces missions. These advanced solutions leverage Sentrycs’ superior Cyber over RF capabilities and mitigation technology, complemented by an additional jamming layer required by the end user for potential escalation scenarios.

As a leading provider of state-of-the-art counter-UAS solutions, Sentrycs remains at the forefront of innovation, providing reliable, user-friendly, and effective solutions designed to meet the specific challenges of high-risk environments.
