Adelaide, South Australia – Silentium Defence, the leaders in passive radar, have recently welcomed the Commonwealth’s announcement of the winning bidder for the AIR6500 Phase 1 Project.
Dr James Palmer, CEO of Silentium Defence, said in response to the announcement, “We would like to congratulate Lockheed Martin Australia on their success in this process and look forward to working with them to deliver this critical capability for the nation. We are extremely proud to see Silentium’s MAVERICK passive radar sensors integrated as a key component of Lockheed Martin’s winning bid.”
Dr. Palmer continued, “A disruptive technology, our passive radar sensors provide an undeniable advantage for the ADF and its allies – the ability to see without being seen from ground to space. This is a critical program for Australia, and we are excited to be a part of it.”
Silentium Defence is a world leader in designing and delivering passive radar sensors for covert situational awareness. Passive radar provides the same information picture as active radar systems, but it doesn’t emit a signal, create a radiation hazard, or highlight the user’s presence, making it quicker, safer, and more cost-effective to deploy.
