Silvus Technologies has introduced the DualStream PTT Controller, a new communications accessory aimed at enhancing operational efficiency for military and tactical teams. The device was announced at Special Operations Forces (SOF) Week 2025 and is designed to work natively with Silvus’ StreamCaster mobile ad hoc network (MANET) radios.
The controller enables users to manage two separate talk groups with dedicated push-to-talk buttons and a 16-position selector switch. Additional features include left/right audio channel output, real-time audio prompts, and waterproof volume controls. The unit is IP67 rated for environmental durability and includes a rotatable MOLLE clip for flexible mounting.
Silvus Vice President of Product, Neema Daneshvar, said the new controller was developed with input from end users operating in complex, dynamic mission sets:
“With seamless talk group management, dual-channel audio control, and a rugged, user-centric form factor, it empowers the warfighter with reliable, real-time communication capabilities when it matters most,” he said.
Integration with MANET communications infrastructure aligns with broader operational needs in drone-contested environments. StreamCaster radios are frequently deployed in missions where mobility, resilience and decentralized communications are critical – characteristics increasingly relevant to teams involved in detecting and defeating small drones.
The controller is compatible with a range of tactical headsets, including models from Atlantic Signal and Ops-Core, with further support planned for other manufacturers. According to Silvus, the new device supports current 4000 Series StreamCaster radios and will be forward-compatible with its upcoming 5000 Series.
