With the support of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence has signed a contract to deliver a second complete Thales Air Defence system to enhance Ukraine’s short-range air defense capabilities.
This additional short-range air defense system includes a ControlMaster 200 (CM200), equipped with a Ground Master 200 air surveillance radar, a radio communications system, an Air Defence command-and-control center ControlView, and portable weapon allocation terminals.
As a leading European integrator of air defense systems, Thales provides comprehensive protection against all types of aerial threats, covering the entire decision-making chain from detection and identification to neutralization.
The CM200 detects and tracks low- to high-altitude targets simultaneously in all environments, providing air defense weapon coordination from Very Short Range Air Defense (VSHORAD) to Extended Short Range Air Defense (E-SHORAD).
The Ground Master 200 radar establishes tracks quickly and maintains them for extended periods, maximizing situational awareness. This allows the ControlView command and control system ample time to evaluate threats and allocate appropriate firing units for air target engagement through each weapon terminal.
