Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (UAV)

An Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle, or UAV, also referred to as a drone, is an aircraft without an onboard human pilot that can fly either by remote control from a human operator or autonomously using onboard sensors. UAVs are a component of a UAS, which also includes a GCS and a system of communications—also called an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.
