STING® is a programmable 40 mm less-lethal C-UAS munition that provides operators with an organic, on-the-move capability to defeat small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) at close range.
Unlike systems that rely on electronic warfare, kinetic projectiles, or complex fire-control equipment, STING enables the user to select a desired air burst distance before firing. At the programmed point, the munition deploys a patented directional entanglement payload that expands into a controlled cone-shaped volume, increasing the probability of disrupting a drone’s propellers or flight surfaces while minimizing collateral effects.
The system is designed to integrate with existing 40 mm launchers through a compact programming unit, requiring minimal additional training and no external targeting equipment. Because STING is self-contained and launcher-based, it provides an immediate response option when other C-UAS systems are unavailable, ineffective, or have already been defeated.
