C-UAS Training and Threat Emulation
Boresight provides realistic threat emulation for counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) training, evaluation, and red teaming. Its ecosystem combines low-cost aerial target drones, mission-planning software, and scalable ground control systems (GCS). Together, these capabilities support repeatable training against individual aircraft and multiple simultaneous threats.
Boresight’s one-to-many (1:M) GCS enables operators to control multiple target drones from a single system. As a result, customers can increase scenario complexity without using a separate control station for every aircraft. They can also reuse planned routes and vary approach directions to meet specific training objectives.
Key Training Capabilities
- One-to-Many Control: Operate multiple aerial targets from a common GCS to present simultaneous threats
- Repeatable Scenarios: Reuse planned routes and flight profiles for consistent training and evaluation
- Distributed Launches: Present threats from different locations, including frontal and flanking approaches
- Purpose-Built Targets: Use low-cost aerial platforms designed specifically for C-UAS threat presentation
- Progressive Training: Begin with single-aircraft engagements, then introduce multiple simultaneous threats
- Customer-Operated Systems: Enable trained personnel to plan and conduct their own threat presentations
Boresight supports military customers through customer-operated systems and red-team services. Following operator training, customer personnel can use the aircraft and GCS to conduct their own exercises. This gives teams a practical way to build repeatable threat presentations around their requirements.
In addition, Boresight can work with C-UAS manufacturers to package its targets and training capabilities alongside their systems. This approach supports customers seeking a combined C-UAS and training solution.
From Familiarization to Complex Engagements
Training can begin with basic familiarization and progress toward more complex engagements. For example, teams can introduce additional aircraft, different flight paths, or threats approaching from several directions. Meanwhile, reusable scenarios provide consistent conditions for practice and evaluation.
These capabilities support training, qualification, and evaluation activities. By repeating a scenario, teams can assess performance under defined engagement conditions. They can then adjust the threat presentation as their training objectives evolve.
Effective C-UAS readiness requires realistic aerial threats and repeated practice. Boresight provides a scalable way to create those conditions and prepare teams for increasingly complex threat environments.
