At the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) conference, Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace presented its Integrated Combat Solution (ICS) and C-UAS technology, highlighting the systems’ operational success in current defence environments.

The ICS is a platform-agnostic solution that enhances situational awareness and combat capability by integrating C5I systems (command, control, communications, computers, combat systems and intelligence), according to Kongsberg.

Kongsberg’s ICS has been deployed as a crucial component in the Typhon C-UAS, currently operational in Ukraine. The system is designed to network multiple sensors and weapons, providing a low-cost kinetic solution to counter drone threats.

“The fielded system continues to see operational success in Ukraine with its ability to network multiple RWS and sensors using ICS to allow small units to conduct area C-UAS using readily available weapons and munitions to fire on a single drone,” the company stated.

Additionally, Kongsberg revealed that its Remote Weapon System is now under contract for full-rate production as part of the U.S. Marine Corps’ Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) program. This system is equipped with medium-calibre cannons and missiles to offer short-range air defence capabilities.
