An ammunition depot in Russia’s Bryansk region erupted in flames on Sunday following a series of Ukrainian drone strikes. The targeted facility, identified as part of the 1060th Material and Technical Support Centre, sustained significant damage as critical supply points were hit, triggering secondary explosions.
Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed the operation targeted the site, previously known as the 120th arsenal of the Russian Ministry of Defence’s Main Rocket and Artillery Directorate.
A statement shared on social media noted that “The Defense Forces of Ukraine do not stop destroying the military infrastructure of the Russian invaders. At least eight explosions were recorded, [with evidence of] at least two ignition points on the territory of the military unit and signs of secondary detonation.”
The drone strikes, executed by coordinated units in conjunction with other branches of Ukraine’s Defence Forces, resulted in a series of powerful detonations.
This operation follows a recent wave of drone activity in Moscow, suggesting an escalation in Ukraine’s strategic targeting of key military facilities inside Russian territory.
Dramatic footage from the scene shows the extent of the inferno, showing the impact of Ukraine’s long-range, targeted operations on Russian supply chains and ammunition stockpiles.
