The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with government regulations and contracts, managing budgets, financial reporting, and audits. The ideal candidate will have experience in government contracting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple financial processes effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Government Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations.
- Manage and oversee audits, ensuring adherence to government contracting standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for government contracts.
- Contract Management:
- Review and manage financial aspects of government contracts.
- Ensure proper billing and collection of payments.
- Liaise with government officials regarding financial matters.
- Accounting and Reporting:
- Oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls.
- Controller Duties:
- Manage the preparation and maintenance of financial records.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations (GAAP, IFRS).
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
- Conduct financial risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage payroll and tax reporting.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the finance team.
- Provide training and development for team members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in government contracting.
- Strong knowledge of government contracting regulations and compliance (FAR, DFAR, etc.).
- Proficiency in financial management software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Deltek, SAP).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Conditions de travail :
- Office environment with occasional travel to client sites and government offices.
- Full-time position with standard office hours; occasional overtime may be required.
