ARQUIMEA, a technology company that operates globally in highly technical sectors with more than 20 years of experience, unveiled its SkyBlock counter-UAS system at IDEX 2025. Aimed at defeating UAVs and Loitering Munitions, SkyBlock disrupts communications and neutralises enemy drone attacks.
SkyBlock is a compact, single-operator counter-drone system (C-RPAS) with a 2 km range, capable of neutralising seven communication bands. Designed to disable enemy drones without inflicting damage, it ensures the integrity of forensic investigations and post-capture analysis. It can force a drone to execute a controlled landing for capture or compel it to return to its take-off point, aiding in tracking the operator. Additionally, it can immobilise the drone in static flight, preventing any further movement, and block image transmission from the drone to the remote control.
ARQUIMEA’s SkyBlock anti-drone jamming solution consists of two portable variants, each with distinct size and range capabilities. The smaller SkyBlock-I, weighing 3.2 kg, resembles a compact submachine gun with dimensions of 360x180x270 mm. The larger SkyBlock-II, at 8.4 kg, takes on a rifle-like form, measuring 880x180x300 mm when fully assembled. Both systems are constructed from aluminium and ABS, ensuring durability while maintaining a lightweight design.

The SkyBlock systems utilise frequency inhibition to counter incoming enemy UAVs and LMs, operating on lithium-ion batteries for extended use. The smaller SkyBlock-I is powered by two removable AN/PRC-148 12V 7.5Ah batteries, providing between 60 and 90 minutes of operation, depending on usage. Its directive antenna, which emits an RF signal with 6W power, covers a 65° angle both vertically and horizontally. This wide coverage allows the operator to simply aim in the general direction of the target without requiring precise alignment, ensuring effectiveness up to 800 metres.
Designed to disrupt seven frequency bands, SkyBlock-I inhibits GPS L1, L2, and L5; GLONASS G1, G2, and G3; Galileo E5a, E5b, E6, and E1; as well as WiFi 2.4, 5.2, 5.6, and 5.8 GHz. The system offers multiple operational modes, enabling it to force drones to land, return to their take-off point, remain in static flight, or block data transmission to ground control stations.
The SkyBlock-II delivers twice the power of the SkyBlock-I, featuring a directive antenna with vertical polarisation. It runs on a BB-2590 24V 10Ah lithium-ion battery, providing 40 to 90 minutes of operation, and includes a cooling fan to manage its higher power output.
Unlike the SkyBlock-I, the II model neutralises nine frequency bands with varying aperture angles. For GNSS, it operates at 56°/50° in L2, L5, G2, G3, E5, and E6 bands, and 36°/35° in L1, G1, and E1. The WiFi 2.4 band has a 39°/30° aperture, while the 5.2, 5.6, and 5.8 GHz bands share a 29°/22° aperture. It also covers the 900/800 band (45°/40°) and TETRA (40°/35°). The system has a maximum effective range of 2,000 metres.
