Ondas Inc. has secured multiple contracts to provide counter-UAS capabilities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with deployments planned across venues in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The work will be carried out by Ondas subsidiary Sentrycs, which will supply its Cyber-over-RF technology to support airspace security at stadiums, fan zones and related event locations. The contracts, awarded by federal, state and local public safety organizations, are valued in the millions of dollars, though specific figures were not disclosed.
The 2026 tournament is expected to be one of the largest sporting events to date, spanning 16 cities and drawing millions of attendees. Securing low-altitude airspace in such environments presents operational and regulatory challenges, particularly in densely populated areas.
Sentrycs’ system is designed to detect, track and identify unauthorized drones and, when required, take control of them and guide them to designated landing zones. The approach avoids the use of jamming or kinetic measures, allowing it to operate without disrupting other communications systems.
“Events of this scale and complexity highlight the growing need to protect low-altitude airspace against the threat of unauthorized drone activity,” said Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas. “Securing the lower airspace across multiple venues simultaneously presents a unique operational challenge, requiring coordinated, regulation-compliant counter-drone capabilities.”

The deployment builds on extensive efforts in the U.S. to protect stadiums and infrastructure against drone threats during the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
