Tron Future Tech and Huneed Technologies partner on maritime C-UAS

Taiwan’s Tron Future Tech and South Korea’s Huneed Technologies have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to jointly develop and market advanced maritime anti-drone systems for both manned and unmanned naval platforms. The agreement was signed during ADEX 2025, South Korea’s biennial aerospace and defense exhibition in Seoul.

The partnership will integrate Tron Future Tech’s Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar technology with Huneed’s defense systems to create next-generation phased array counter-drone solutions tailored for maritime operations. The systems are expected to address the growing threat of drones operating over and near coastal and naval environments.

Under the agreement, Tron Future Tech will contribute its experience in AESA-based counter-UAS radar and sensor development, while Huneed will provide its expertise in communications and naval defense integration. Tron’s AESA technology, already deployed in ground-based anti-drone systems, will form the foundation for this expansion into the maritime domain.

The MoA was signed by Ya Ying Lin, Vice President of Tron Future Tech, and Moon Young Park, Executive Senior Vice President of Huneed Technologies and former Admiral in the Republic of Korea Navy.

Huneed Technologies is a major South Korean defense company known for developing airborne systems and communications solutions for the nation’s armed forces. Tron Future Tech is Taiwan’s largest anti-drone systems provider, specializing in AI-driven, fully automated detection and mitigation technologies that combine radar, RF sensing and command-and-control capabilities.

The collaboration further strengthens South Korea–Taiwan defense cooperation, linking Taiwan’s advanced radar and semiconductor expertise with South Korea’s naval and shipbuilding strengths. The companies said the partnership aims to deliver domestically integrated, high-performance counter-UAS systems to strengthen maritime security in the Indo-Pacific region.
