TYTAN-MoU-Signing_900x600

A HENSOLDT e a TYTAN assinam um memorando de entendimento sobre cooperação contra UAS

HENSOLDT and TYTAN Technologies have signed a Memorando de Entendimento to cooperate on counter-uncrewed aircraft systems and the protection of critical infrastructure, the companies announced on January 26.

The agreement was signed during the opening of TYTAN Technologies’ new headquarters in Munich. Signatories included Balázs Nagy, CEO and co-founder of TYTAN Technologies, and Oliver Dörre, CEO of HENSOLDT. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Markus Söder, Minister President of Bavaria.

Under the MoU, the two companies plan to combine TYTAN’s interceptor drone platforms with HENSOLDT’s sensor portfolio and its Elysion Mission Core command-and-control software. The stated aim is to develop an immediately deployable counter-UAS capability produced in Bavaria and focused on protecting European airspace and critical infrastructure.

According to the companies, the cooperation will prioritize three areas. These include integrating TYTAN interceptor platforms into HENSOLDT’s Elysion Mission Core counter-UAS architecture, pursuing joint initiatives to protect critical infrastructure in coordination with federal and state authorities, and exploring international projects, particularly those linked to NATO air defense efforts and support for Ukraine.

The partnership comes as European governments continue to reassess air defense requirements in response to the widespread use of low-cost and mass-produced drones in recent conflicts. Both firms describe the cooperation as an effort to accelerate the delivery of deployable counter-drone capabilities rather than long-term development programs.

“The cooperation of HENSOLDT and TYTAN allows us to combine agility, innovative strength, system integration expertise and domain knowledge at the highest level. In this way, we are contributing to significantly and rapidly enhancing protection against the increasing threats posed by drones,” said Oliver Dörre, CEO of HENSOLDT.

Balázs Nagy, CEO and co-founder of TYTAN Technologies, said: “TYTAN and HENSOLDT demonstrate unwavering commitment to protect people and critical infrastructure in Europe from unmanned threats – Not in 5 years but today. With technology that is battlefield-tested and based on the two companies´ proven excellence in their respective fields.”

The companies said the cooperation also reflects a broader push to strengthen European defense industrial capability and reduce reliance on non-European counter-UAS solutions.
