Sentrycs announces German Police contract and launch of portable C-UAS

Ondas Inc. announced that its subsidiary Sentrycs has delivered and deployed counter-drone systems to a German State Police office, marking an expansion of the company’s footprint in European law enforcement.

According to the company, the deployed system is designed to detect, identify and take control of unauthorized drones without the use of jamming or kinetic measures. Sentrycs said its technology is currently supporting State Police units in securing large-scale events and sensitive operations.

The system uses a protocol-based approach, described as Cyber over RF, to mitigate drone threats. It is designed to take control of unauthorized drones and guide them to predefined landing zones while identifying drone serial numbers and operator locations in real time. The company states that, unlike traditional jamming systems, the approach operates without interfering with surrounding communication networks, making it suitable for dense urban environments.

“We’re proud to support law enforcement agencies with operationally proven solutions that reflect the realities of today’s security landscape,” said Tal Cohen, CEO of Sentrycs. “Our deployment with the German State Police demonstrates the immediate impact of lawful, precise drone mitigation. With the launch of our new man-carried solution, Sentrycs Scout, we’re extending that capability to tactical units that require mobility without compromising performance.”

The announcement comes amid increased reporting of suspicious drone activity in Germany. According to the company, more than 1,000 suspicious flights were reported by Germany’s federal criminal police in 2025, including incidents near military facilities, airports and government sites.

Sentrycs is also preparing to introduce Sentrycs Scout at the Enforce Tac exhibition in Germany. Scout is described as a compact, battery-powered counter-UAS platform intended for law enforcement and tactical units. The system is designed to provide passive detection, tracking, identification and cyber-based mitigation in a man-portable configuration without reliance on fixed infrastructure.

The company said Scout is intended for applications including tactical force protection, convoy security, VIP protection, border enforcement, and infrastructure patrols. The system builds on the same core technology used in Sentrycs’ fixed installations but is ruggedized for field deployment.
