The rapid expansion of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), commonly known as drones, across industries, government applications, and recreational activities highlights the need for a deeper understanding of their usage and market trends. This study utilizes UAS detection technology, specifically DJI’s Aeroscópio, to track serial numbers and forecast product usage, market penetration, and population estimates. By analyzing three years of data collected from Aeroscope sensors positioned near a major airport in the Southern United States, the investigação offers valuable insights into UAS operational patterns and platform lifespans.
