DroneShield has announced the expansion of its European operations to address the escalating demand for C-UAS technology across the continent. This move sees the establishment of a new regional team of experts stationed in Denmark and Germany, with the goal of enhancing support and offering customised solutions to military, security and commercial clients in Europe.
The expansion, formalised earlier this month, responds to increasing concerns about the threat of hostile drones to critical infrastructure, government assets, military sites and public safety across Europe. By positioning an on-the-ground team, DroneShield aims to provide immediate and localised support to the European market.
“With our expanded European presence, we are in a stronger position to meet the growing demands for C-UAS solutions in the region,” said DroneShield CEO, Oleg Vornik.
The team is said to bring a wealth of C-UAS expertise and is built for collaboration with a diverse European market, being proficient in multiple languages, including English, German, Ukrainian, French and various Scandinavian languages.
“We understand the importance of proximity of support for our customers and are committed to providing bespoke solutions that address their unique challenges, whether it’s for special forces, fixed installations or mobile solutions,” noted Hans Høyer, one of DroneShield’s newly appointed Sales Directors.
DroneShield’s European team has already begun participation in key industry events over recent months, including MSPO in Poland, Eurosatory in France and the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK.
“Our participation in these major events allows us to stay at the forefront of C-UAS technology and understand the evolving challenges our European customers face,” Høyer remarked.
The expansion represents an effort by DroneShield to strengthen its position in the European C-UAS market, particularly as European countries bolster their security frameworks against potential drone threats.
Many nations are seeking to enhance border security and develop C-UAS strategies and systems in case they find themselves in a similar position to Ukraine. There are fears that the ongoing Russo-Ukraine war could spread to other parts of Europe, particularly if Russian promises of escalation are made true, or if Russia is successful in achieving its goals of annexing parts or all of Ukraine.
