Tron Future Tech announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with South Korea’s Huneed Technologies during the Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE). The agreement sets the framework for joint research, development and market expansion in areas including maritime drone defense and military wireless communications.
The signing ceremony was attended by Tron Future Tech CEO Dr. Yu-Jiu Wang and Huneed Technologies Head of Industrial Cooperation Russell Kim. Under the agreement, the companies plan to combine Tron Future’s radar and counter-drone expertise with Huneed’s capabilities in communication networks and maritime platforms.
Both executives highlighted the context of rising defense budgets in Taiwan and South Korea, pointing to shared security challenges in the region. They framed the partnership as a step toward strengthening cooperation in defense technology while also positioning the companies to pursue opportunities beyond their domestic markets.
The collaboration will focus on advancing multi-domain defense solutions, with an emphasis on artificial intelligence, advanced sensing and integrated communications. Company representatives said the partnership is intended to support not only market growth in Taiwan and South Korea but also wider engagement in international defense programs.
The agreement marks one of the higher-profile announcements at this year’s TADTE, reflecting growing interest in regional defense cooperation amid heightened geopolitical tensions in East Asia.
