According to a recent report from KXTV – ABC 10 in Sacramento, California, a resident of Tracy, California, was caught on camera, attempting to shoot down a Tracy Police Department drone with a BB gun.

A reckless motorcycle rider was reported on April 22 in the 200 block of Cedar Mountain Drive, prompting a response from the Tracy Police Department Patrol Officers. Using an unmanned aerial vehicle, the officers swiftly located the individual. However, while identifying the suspected rider’s residence, Thomas Herring, a 40-year-old resident of Tracy, was observed using a pellet gun to fire at the unmanned aerial vehicle.

Herring was arrested for 246.3(b) PC, negligent discharge of a BB gun. No information was available on whether the Tracy Police Department drone was damaged in the incident.
